Installation Guide
⚠️ Safety notice: Gas systems require a Gas Safe registered engineer. This guide covers DIY installation for water-filled radiators on sealed systems only.
Tools required: 2x adjustable spanners, spirit level (600mm min), tape measure, drill with masonry bits, wall plugs and screws, PTFE tape, radiator bleed key.
- Prepare: Measure space (min 50mm from corners, 100mm from furniture), check wall can support weight, drain system completely.
- Position brackets: Use 2 brackets up to 1200mm wide, 3 for 1200–1800mm, 4 for over 1800mm. Mark 100–150mm from top, ensure level.
- Install brackets: Drill 8–10mm holes, insert wall plugs, attach brackets, check level.
- Fit valves: Wrap PTFE tape around radiator tail threads (5–7 wraps clockwise), hand-tighten valve, then spanner-tighten carefully.
- Hang radiator & connect pipework: Lift onto brackets, connect valves using two spanners, tighten 1–1.5 turns after hand-tight.
- Refill & test: Close bleed valve, open radiator valves, refill system slowly, check for leaks, bleed radiator, verify system pressure at 1–1.5 bar cold.
Maintenance: Bleed annually, check for leaks around valves, clean with a damp cloth, add inhibitor every 5 years.
